Seemed like movie was unsure what it wanted to be. A lot of ideas that didn’t seem fully fleshed out. I enjoyed it but it could’ve been better. Like, a lot better.

Normally I'm not the biggest fan of awards season movies, for whatever reason. I was compelled to watch Flow through my love of cats and animals overall, and it did NOT disappoint! The animation was exquisite, story was amazing, symbolism was easy to understand but not to a dumbed-down degree. Only took off half of a star because the middle low key drags. My dad came in to watch with me halfway through (it’s one of his favorite movies) and literally cried at the end because apparently he put the I will see you soon but not yet quote on his Facebook when my grandma died. Anyways solid movie solid acting great characters Joaquin Phoenix is an amazing villain! (He’s so annoying I love it)
