A really well made documentary that expertly uses footage of being "in the room" for many important conversations to allow the viewer to draw their own conclusions as to why the strike failed. This is a great watch for anyone who wants to learn more about what a labor negotiation looks like and the pressures of making a deal on behalf of hundreds of livelihoods.
A by-the-numbers buddy cop comedy that escapes mediocrity through the incredible acting of the main two leads. Though their chemistry is a little lacking at times, with them switching from hating each other to being best buddies at the drop of a hat, I let myself be whisked along because I enjoyed their performances as individuals. I love movies about eccentric hitmen, and Tom Cruise's Vincent is as strange as they come. He is an incredible foil to Jamie Foxx's Max, a simple cab driver trying to survive the night. Tom makes every scene he's in feel unsettling and tense before exploding into violence, but he also has a genuine rapport with Max, in a way that makes you question how their relationship will end throughout the whole film.
