At first count Orlok’s strong accent felt a little too exaggerated and stereotypical for an old as hell vampire but throughout the movie it felt just perfect. Even listening to the nuns speak with the same accent makes it even more believable, i feel that Eggers really captures what he wants to capture in every single one of his movies and this one the fact that the vampire was always an omnipresent being even if it was in dreams or mind controlling through the darkness and desperation of the people was well portrayed. Im telling you, Eggers is on a generational run in my book.
