  Capitalism: A Love Story 2009

  An absolute mess.

  The topic it devotes the most time to, the '08 housing crisis, isn't an example of capitalism, it's corporatism or crony capitalism, in no way does it represent free enterprise and Moore failing to identify the difference is painful.

  The variety of other topics - dead peasant insurance, pilot salary, etc. just feel like a directionless brain dump.

  The cherry on top of my watching experience was having Tubi interrupt the movie with Amazon ads that genuinely feel like they could have been satire inserted by Moore himself.

  Among the various formulas for Black Mirror episode, the crux for this one is that it all revolves around giving the audience one small piece of information at the very end that reframes the entire story. It is not might favorite structure and the reveal had no impact other than make me feel angry at the time I'd wasted to get there.
