  The Hatchet Wielding Hitchhiker 2023

  Somehow the “hatch-wielding hitchhiker” was not the worst person in this doc. In fact, he is kinda low on the list.  Everyone except the woman who was saved from the crazed driver and Kai’s cousin is a douchebag.  The sports reporter turned Kai exploiter is the worst and I bet he doesn’t even realize it.  Not sure if Netflix set out to make a doc about the pitfalls of exploitation, but if that was the plan, they missed the mark.

  I was not a fan of this flick. There was something very amateurish about all of it. It feels like a movie that was based on a book and therefore, is trying REALLY hard to cram in all the "good stuff" in the book. A lot of the acting was very BIG (Patrick Fugit and Zoey Daschenel,or however it's spelled, in particular) and some of the characters were cartoonish (Frances McDormand).   The Jacksons: An American Dream 1992

  Every time this came on VH1, back when I still had VH1, I had to watch at least a couple hours of it...because it is,like, 8 freakin' hours long. Or maybe it just seemed that way because VH1 would marathon the miniseries all day. Just one miniseries ALL DAY. Like Spike showing the Star Wars movies or something, except with just one miniseries instead of 6 separate movies.
