    The Twilight Saga: New Moon

    ★½

Generic at best, offensively awkward at worst

The acting was extremely bad. Seriously, it was laughable. The only thing that kept me from being bored out of my fucking mind was Taylor laughtner being inexplicably half naked for the entirety of the movie. There is absolutely no fucking reason for him to act like a harlot/wench/whore.
Making Jacob 16 makes NO sense whatsoever. Also, why cut his hair if long hair is so important to native culture and being a…

    The half good prince

As the mood gets darker and the characters get older, the quality unfortunately deteriorates. It doesn’t help that the best character (Sirius) is dead.
When it comes to cinematography, there are some genuinely good shots. Even though the darker, less saturated aesthetic works at times, it unfortunately makes the film boring to watch.
Like the previous film, it breaks away from the whimsy of the Harry Potter series.
Snape’s decision to kill Dumbledore is nonsensical. Seriously. …

The only Fantastic Beast in here is Jude Law

I thought J.K. Rowling couldn’t stoop lower than transphobia… she has, by making this shit show of a movie. The characterization is betrayed. Seriously, the whole thing about Queenie using the imperiatus curse on Jacob is complete nonsense. Disappointing, but again, that’s nothing new to Ms. Joanne Rowling.

    Bohemian Rhapsody

    ★★★

Is this the real life? Is this just a mid biopic?

Queen is objectively one of the best bands ever. Bohemian rhapsody is one of the most iconic songs ever. But this biopic’s shit pacing was neither good nor iconic. It wasn’t horrifying as a whole. But its responsibility for the birth of the “mediocre biopic about an iconic musician” genre is enough for me to want to bang its physical incarnation on the head with a guitar (or worse, an entire drum kit).
