Captures so well the sense of childlike wonderment and the heartbreaking loss of innocence.
Some classic Spielberg epic scenes, featuring huge sets with lots of extras. Christian Bale does a lot of acting as the child lead of the film. But it’s far from perfect! Plenty of uneven scenes, with some heavy handed storytelling.
