This movie is incredible at provoking feelings. It is a story masterfully told. TERRIFYING and unlike anything I have ever seen. Besides a couple of cringy choices to the storyline, I would consider this a near-perfect film that is definitely not for everyone. You will experience a sense of anxiety so profoundly exhausting that it will feel like an out-of-body experience. NOT FOR THE WEAK. There are some surprising moments of comedy if you hang in there.

Oh, David. I will watch anything this man directs. I try to keep in mind that most of my opinions on Lynch's movies stem from the feelings he manages to stir up when I am watching them instead of focusing on making them make sense. You will get lost in this film for what feels like an eternity. It takes considerable talent to create something this chilling, confusing, and powerful all at the same time. Watch with a friend! Time will feel like it doesn't exist. If you make it to the end: yes, that IS Terry Crews in a David Lynch film for some reason.

It has a refined mix of dark comedy and wistful aching beautifully portrayed by actors in their prime. The storyline is simple but strays away from being boring or cliche. Clever and honest. Endearing and real characters. My pick for this year's Academy Award for Best Picture.
