Just got out of HALLOWEEN KILLS. A superior film to the lacklustre reboot of 2018. Without getting into spoilers, this film easily is the most effective and emotionally driven entry since HALLOWEEN 4. It does suffer from not knowing when to finish but it’s safe to say it’s genuinely the most excited I have felt from a HALLOWEEN film in decades.

    K-Shop

    ★★

K SHOP, seems to have a sneering contempt for the working- class. Having a concept that could of been extremely funny in its sheer absurdity, the filmmaker however feels like he was exorcising his own hatred of a specific type of person.

Flawed and tonally weird, I really wanted to like it but found myself put off by the arrogance of its storytelling. So many moments felt rushed, out of whack with characters ongoing behaviours. There certainly is a better horror film in here, especially with the ridiculous binge drinking culture - this isn’t it though.

I’m actually disappointed with ‘Porno’. On paper it sounds like a little movie that could be fun but doesn’t have the balls of its own convictions to go all out with its premise. It has a setup clearly inspired by the far superior early ‘Popcorn’ and ‘Demons’ but fails to capture the vibe of the 90s era it tries to emulate.

Porno should serve as the perfect platform where the sex part should not be considered as "gratuitous" as it's…

Bold and raw, this is the best British film I’ve seen in years. Rough around the edges and ignored by the mainstream as being too uncomfortable, this is filmmaking with balls. Some amazing acting, bold directional decisions and the rise of a new talented director. Highly recommend FARMING.
