This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
As far as musical movies go, this one was quite well done (in my opinion.)
I like that it uses a contrast between reality and a dream world when the musical numbers are performed. Sometimes the songs are internal monologue (Roxie’s song to Amos in the beginning,) sometimes they’re a dramatization of what’s happening in the “real” world (they both reached for the gun.) and sometimes they’re actual performances in the real world (all that jazz.)
