Joker: Folie à Deux 2024
It makes a change to see a film that isn’t needily asking for your admiration or treating you like an imbecilic drumming monkey. It’s a plausible depiction of mental illness and our fascination for monsters. Except the monster in the end was never Joker and the madness that surrounded him was way less satisfying as a form of entertainment than we’d hoped.
