    Iñárritu introduced Bardo with a caution: do not look for a deeper meaning; there is no logic in dreams.     A funny chaser to the sour ominousness of Longlegs, in which there’s virtually no space for humour (dark or otherwise), so it makes sense for OP to go somewhat gonzo with the follow-up. The Monkey sustains itself on its humor more than its horror — the kills are, as advertised, pretty outrageous. The thinly realized, somewhat glib plotting grows absurd in its own right, one that feels tired compared to the exemplary violence that takes place, but there’s just enough twisted comedy…
