Fernanda Torres is obviously amazing, but I feel the need to highlight that everyone’s acting performances were remarkable, especially the children. I felt completely immersed in the story, almost feeling as if I was watching a documentary instead. Everything felt so raw and real. Perfection.

going into this knowing of the real story that inspired the film, I didn’t have the same reaction as seemingly everyone else in the reviews, and I think perhaps it made my experience less exciting. the real dagmar overbye story is so gruesome I kinda expected it to go further.

entertaining for sure but I do wish they’d gone darker with a wider focus on existentialism and selling your body and the feelings that come with that. i think it was a mistake to shift the focus away from the whole human printing and cloning thing to cute weird bug aliens
