  Did Hideaki Anno spend twenty four episodes and a forty five minute segment of a movie telling a story about giant fighting robots just so that he could spend the conclusion exploring why anyone matters? Yeah he did. Listen I think that there’s definitely something to be said about the plot of this show.. it’s engaging and the characters and story are always interesting up until they just.. don’t really matter anymore. But after finishing the series I can say…

  a shark swimming in water that is freezing and has ice chunks floating in it during christmas time to go and specifically eat one family really makes this movie a “goated” watch. a must see for anyone who considers themselves well versed in cinema to really experience a masterpiece 
  (there must be a glitch because i rated this 5 stars but for some reason its 1) :(
