  It's enormously funny without ever not taking it's characters seriously.
  The acting performences are stellar all around.
  But behind this funny facade is a troubeling, sad and heartbreaking story with an ending that sucks in the best way possible, holding a mirror up to the audience.

  Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe is a fun, emotional and honest journey of two teenagers. The portrayal of the two lead characters, beside one "homophobic" scene, is perfect. The images match the mood and are mostly a complement to the spoken dialog. A lot of "show, don't tell" which I prefer.

  Nonetheless, objectively this film would probably only deserve three stars. The pacing is off a lot and sometimes even irritating. If you don't know the…
