So this film is pretty mental. I often go into these type of old movies with high ratings and often expect to be disappointed. This one in particular as well I felt that I would have that and was absolutely ready to call it overrated. However, without a doubt this may be the most properly rated film of all time. Anyone who says differently doesn’t deserve an opinion or know anything about the art of film. This masterpiece grapples with…

Sheeeeeeeeeesh, kurusawa with another unbelievable film. This one truly, truly feels ages ahead of its time. Reminded me of parasite and harakiri a lot. Great camera work.

I don’t know why but like I just couldn’t tell how much I liked this. The cinematography was pretty cool, but idk it just felt bland.

“Don’t leave me Murph!”… hearing those words echo in the theatre of an imax viewing is something I will FOREVER cherish. To see a film that I would likely say would be the one to have “gotten” me into cinema in an imax theatre for the 10 year anniversary from when it came out at 8 years old was unbelievable. When speaking of films to see in theatre yet alone imax this one triumphs maybe all. The sound and picture was so dazzling and up there with those watches that will just stick with me forever. Wow. So glad I could see this.

Such a powerful movie about the appreciation of life. So perfect for the in between Thanksgiving and Christmas season. What a perfect Christmas movie. Beautiful shot and I imagine the color corrected is probably awesome. The last 40 minutes or so were some of my favorite in a film ever. Forever cherishing this movie and my own life experiences.
