Classic sports film, with a (now) all-star cast, all delivering some very captivating roles. Duane Martin's role as the super arrogant college b-ball hopeful was very believable; I wanted to smack him through the TV.

I find it odd that Tupac's characters always caught a bullet in his movies, but that's a different story for a different time. I'm sure he's watching this from his high-rise in Puerto Vallarta right now (he's still alive dammit).

Soundtrack is awesome (shouts to Benny Medina the 90s music GAWD), and cinematography was on point.

    REGULATOOOOOORS... MOUNT UP!

Sooooo I really would like to write a whole thinkpiece on this film and what it means to me, being a fan of futurist movies and where the state of technology is moving in the 2010s, but F all of that - this is hands down the best sci-fi movie I've seen all year (and in a long time). Acting, story, cinematography - this film shows the true meaning of who's really on top...

    CRAP MOVIE.

    Problems:

    a) The main protagonist and the antagonist cast (which was hard as hell to figure out) should not look alike (and there was no case of mistaken identity in this movie, so I call 'nannergans)

    b) Dialogue and interactions were about as dry as the fight scenes

    c) Every scene was in a club with "Exotic Dancers" (in a dystopian society? really? there should be some 2 Live Crew stuff going on there if it were enough…

This movie was surprisingly decent... "Rowdy" Roddy Piper always plays the role of the character that wants to be left the hell alone, but doesn't mind putting a boot to your face in order for that to happen once he gets fed up. Tawny Kitaen played a good role in this one as the seductress/drug kingpin's wife -- even though she handled all of the automatic weapons like she got gun training at Julliard.

You like boats? you like stuff blowing up? You like stuff blowing up on boats? Watch this movie.
