Every shot in this film strikes my aesthetic—seriously, the use of vistavision is gorgeous. I might just go watch White Christmas for the film alone. But story-wise, I can’t find the soul in the storytelling; it feels a bit loose. The sound effects are in the same boat. I really wish the script and audio had the same impact as those stunning visuals.
