I believe if a contemporary political issue exists, Bong Joon Ho can and will find a way to make a poignant and interesting film discussing it. This film does an excellent job of commenting on nativism in politics, and that fact that it wasn’t made by an American is shocking considering the parallels it has to American colonialism.
