What does death feel like? Watching Mickey 17.
Really getting tired of getting excited to see a movie from a talented director and it turning out to be abject garbage.
This movie was heavy handed tedious trash. An absolute mess of a film. It picked the most soft ball subject in the world and somehow made it just painful to watch. I spent most of the movie filled with anger that I’d watched it in the first place. The first movie that made me feel like I’d rather be watching Megalopolis.
The first half of the movie was a pretty standard immigrant story film. It was decently shot and well acted.
The second half of the movie was an insane fever dream with unrealistic ass raping.
I don’t care if it cost $10 million it wasn’t very good
I'm someone who appreciates all kinds of film, and I have no shame in declaring that this is one of my favorite films of all time. I went into this movie terrified. So many people had seen it, and given it some of the most glowing reviews I've seen for a film in a very long time, and I was terrified I would go in and not like it. I would not put it past myself to see something that everyone loved, and find myself not enjoying it.
