At both times a retelling and a reboot of, surprisingly, the entire Alien franchise. There were bit an pieces from every Alien film and also the Prometheus series. Everything came together cohesively and made sense for the film. The only issue I had was, if you've watched the rest of the films, certain points were telegraphed and you get less of an shocking moment, and more of an "ah, that's how it ties in" moment. Still excellent and definitely worth another watch.

An awesome reintroduction to a classic series. Everything is explained in a way that's easy for non-readers to digest and related to modern themes. While some may struggle with some of the new terminology and concepts, remember that this is supposed to take place roughly 8000 years in the future. Now to see if they can continue the greatness with part 2.

Slightly rough and unfinished at times, just like a teenager. The turtles were highly believable. More so than any other rendition since the 90s film. They actually felt and acted like young teenagers, not adults pretending to be kids. More like this please.

Is it possible for a movie to actually lower IQ? I'm not sure, but this "film" attempts to do just that. How? Let's see:

The acting? I'd call the acting sub-par, but that would mean there was anything resembling acting in the first place.

The plot? Likely written by a 11 year old who just learned about piranhas and anacondas and thought, what if both?.

The CGI? Made by somebody over the weekend with a pirated copy of Flash.
