  As a sequel, I thought it was great. It followed up on the first film's themes well enough, and characterised Arthur Fleck in a way which was loyal to how he was portrayed originally, while adding further depth.

  As a musical, not so much. The songs themselves were pretty forgettable (though admittedly entertaining), and I felt like the film should've either embraced the musical side completely (think Hamilton in Gotham), or just scrapped the songs as a whole.
