The Matrix Resurrections 2021
That bullet time scene with Neil Patrick Harris was dope, he had some poignant lines in that- the whole “desire and fear” thing. The VFX are cool as expected of a film with this kind of budget. Some parts made me laugh.
Other than that, it’s full of clichés, truly a missed opportunity. Classic reboot bullshit of telling the same old stories again and again, setting it up for another unnecessary trilogy. Tries to be self reflective and “meta” about…

Mortal Engines 2018
Pure escapist fun. Doesn’t try to be anything deeper than it is. Definitely underrated IMO, like okay it isn’t a cinematic masterpiece but at least it’s original, glad to see a sci-fi film of this kind that isn’t another reboot.

Attenborough's Life in Colour 2021
That butterfly wing macro photography is out of this world. Just stunning. Some shots are overused though, and it isn’t as good as his other series because it focuses too much on the educational aspect and not enough on the “wow” factor which draws people to nature docs.

Raya and the Last Dragon 2021
I was expecting something like Brave but it’s just another cringy Disney princess movie. Unicorn dragons? Really? At least there wasn’t a bs idealistic portrayal of romance, and they don’t break out into song randomly, so there’s that. Guess I’m not the target demographic but this is boringly predictable and not worth watching if you’re over the age of 6.
