  yeah okay i wanted to hate it because i harbor resentment for alex garland after what he did to annihilation. and i don’t think it was at all creative for a futuristic albeit near future take but i did appreciate that female bodies weren’t used as plot devices, that kirsten had a panic attack instead of sex, and there was no hetero romance plot line.

  however: why spend millions of dollars on massive amounts of guns, trucks, tanks, and helicopters just to say fucking nothing.
