  I loved Barzakh! Really disappointed by how it was received in Pakistan but what else can you expect given how progressive it is. Excellent performances by each and every one on the cast. I’ll be revisiting this show again and again. The fucked up family dynamics were depicted so beautifully! Asim Abbasi is my favourite Pakistani director (I loved Cake and Churails!).   I know it seems like I’m giving all old Bollywood movies 5 stars but that’s just what pure nostalgia coupled with terrible current films that don’t hit the spot do to you. But on a serious note, it’s so cute, romantic, and incredibly funny! So many iconic moments from “sorry? Eggjackly” to the Ben&Jerry’s Belgian Dark Chocolate ice cream! The songs are so cute, the cast is so amazing. Yeah I love this film!

  I think we often underestimate how much pain others feel in their life because we’re so consumed by our own emotions, and I don’t think any film that I’ve seen has showcased that as effectively and delicately as this one. I’m holding space for this one, folks 🙃
