Fairly compelling viewing and very strong performances from the leads. Marked down for lack of political context to the wider Israel-Palestine situation at the time. Felt like the film very much took a side.

Great acting, screenplay, costume. A little lengthy but a beautifully made film on an interesting topic that not many people know much about (fascist regime in Brazil). Juxtaposition between blissful family life and the reality of living under a dictatorship was striking.
