Parenthood 1989
Not really a Steve Martin, Comedy Genius fan, but he charmed me. Uptight dad watching the impact of generational anxiety surface in his kids… maybe shouldn’t have taken the gummy for this one. Funniest moments were in fantasy sequences (except the campy little school shooting scene??) and Martin physical comedy. Lol at ‘slippin on guts’ standup routine at the child’s birthday party.

It’s fun when you start to realize how intentional all the details are. So intentional that I thought the shitty, glitchy picture quality streaming on @peacock was an incredibly bold choice that seemed to only be happening during electro-negating monster scenes. Til it got really bad and truly derailed the movie lol. The fact that I was still submerged I suppose is a testament.
