Wicked - for those who have not seen the play; is a retelling of the classic film Wizard of Oz with the primary focus being centered on Elphaba (the Wicked Witch of the West). It was a spectacle to watch; dazzling set designs, stunning wardrobes, and musically dramatic performances from all actors. Denis Villeneuve, I can confidently say, has directed a century defining film. You are not introduced to the Dune universe, but submerged in it. Performances that capture the essence of realizing their respective characters. The beauty of shots that tell story, even when there is no dialogue. This is a must see film, and a film to continue to revisit for generations to come.
