favs: recent 5s/films I've
been thinking about recently
an intriguing watch and I'd very much recommend watching this with a group because it elicits such different response and ends up saying something about the person themself.
a lot of unabashed critiques towards the noxious system of policing, schooling and a sympathetic outlook on how the middle-class family life often overlooks internal issues in the name of a pacifying perception of hard work, and it does so without sensationalising anything whilst taking jabs at the current thought processes around…
movie straight out of GTA, is fun as shit until the last half-hour or such where it wanders rather aimlessly as to how denzel's character should be coming to his ultimate downfall, as if already fixated yet unable to tell provide or add filler space. great casting all over but this is definitely one of the worst instances I've seen of a film's intent suffering from how the actor's screen presence overpowers the ill-intent of the antagonist meant to be frowned upon.
