  One of the great things about growing up is watching an actor or actress’s work besides that kid movie you remember them from. Paul Giamatti is such a talent and this movie really lets him run wild. Loved it.

  What a unique film. Recovering from a loss and attempting to start a new life only to be sucked backed into your old life in such an unordinary and confronting way. I didn’t know what was going to happen from one scene to the next. A masterclass performance by Nicole Kidman. I didn’t love the twist. I’m gonna be thinking about this one for a while.

  Beautiful and haunting film that should win Best Picture tomorrow at the Oscar’s, but it will probably go to the Brutalist or A Complete Unknown, sadly. The first-person perspective in Nickel Boys and the Cinematography is like none I’ve seen before. The creativity with the sound and the spliced in images and video of historical moments from space exploration to dogs chasing men up trees cements the viewer in a very real feeling of place.
