  I’m so sick of movies shooting “realism” by making everything blue or black. Look at the actual footage of Jim McKay and Peter Jennings reporting on the situation and how nice and bright it is, and then look at the new footage they shot and how muddy and dark it is. It’s incredibly distracting. If Dog Day Afternoon could shoot realistically and colorfully in 1975, then why can’t 2024’s September 5? As usual, Leonie Benesch steals the show and I have yet to see a bad performance from her.
