  By far the best musical adaptation I have seen. The storyline is strong and true to the original, the sets are stunning, and Cynthia and Ariana are absolutely phenomenal. Definitely a film I’d want to watch multiple times, despite its length.

  Though the storyline is fairly basic, the scenes are incredibly visceral and fittingly unsettling where they are supposed to be. There are enough poignant moments to carry the film along, and the characters are relatable enough for you to root for them and feel their pain.
