  Joker: Folie à Deux 2024

  Really don't get what there is to hate about this one. I went into the cinema expecting much worse, but with an open mind, after not being a huge fan of the original and was suprised that it was about as good as its beloved previous entry in the series.

  I get that "Folie á Deux" alienates the original Joker's incel/edgey/rightwing/neck beard sporting "fans" in a way, but I think those people misunderstood the intentions of the first film in…

  Bram Stoker's Dracula 1992

  NOT "Bram Stoker's Dracula". More like "Francis Ford Coppola's Dracula".

  Very visually stunning and beautiful film, but it for sure does not follow the novel for the most part, (the basic skeleton is there, but its a far cry from the source material) and Coppola really tries to humanise our lad Vlad, rather than paint him as this demonic terror like Bram does. Still a dope film though, even if its not as hardcore as the book : )

  Powerful film, fantastic performances all around and lovely cinematography. Its nostalgic soundtrack really assists its sentimentality too and the way sensitive subjects are handled so deliberately, very nice.
  Kinda fell off toward the end unfortunately and I think it might have helped if the runtime was longer, I'd have liked to have seen some more relationship progression, but all said and done very much worth the watch.
