Very unique take to the horror-space-alien category. Not a lot of meaning to it, but going into it my expectations were low for that. It’s your typical “Human fights off alien in outer space” movie but stands out more than most because of its visuals and the score. Good job FlyLo. Definitely seems inspired by video games too in a good way. I can imagine a certain audience would be appreciative of this more because of the video game feel to it. Effects were also very disturbing but I expected this after hearing the director’s previous film having “issues”. All in all, pretty solid.

Who would’ve thought that traditional catholic cardinals could be so scandalous? Oh wait…

An interesting view on the behind the scenes of electing the next pope. Dialogue is strong, the mystery is captivating , the plot twists are eye opening. The sound editing and the score are done really well. Like today’s world, I didn’t really want anybody to win because nobody was truly the correct choice but that’s politics unfortunately.

I yelled “avada kedavra” a lot whenever I felt the main character was getting wronged.

Very heartwarming but I feel like it missed the point. The penguin is cute, I smiled any time he appeared on screen and hopped up or down stairs or mimicked Coogan’s steps. As much as I loved the penguin though, why didn’t the filmmakers dive deeper into anything else that was going on? That time period for Argentina was significant but it seemed like they were too scared to cross any lines. Maybe it’s because I haven’t read the autobiography…

A very complex, dialogue-heavy spy movie that doesn’t disappoint. It’s like knives out without the over the top theatrics. The characters are so well crafted to interact with one another and Fassbender and Blanchett do a wonderful job at becoming stone cold agents that are not meant to be messed with. It’s fast so it’s very easy to lose track of what is happening so attention is key. It’s polished and I appreciate that every scene is meant to be…
