Just logging this now after forgetting to when I first saw it so my thoughts on it are going to be hazy but either way this film is pretty unremarkable. Of the three best picture nominees of the first Oscars this one felt the longest despite actually being the shortest. As an early gangster film it is interesting but certainly pales in comparison to what we'll see in the 30s and beyond. Don't feel too much about this other than I was very bored throughout. Very dull but inoffensive.
