The Batman 2022
I enjoyed this movie more than I thought. Not a very original take on Batman himself, I'd like a bit more departure from the total grimdark but I accept that that's what sells. However, the story was solid. Great way to touch on online radicalization and homegrown terrorism, Matt Reeves somehow made the Riddler a genuinely scary and unsettling character and that alone deserves applause. Solid balance of mystery and action, definitely rewatchable.

Absolutely loved it. Even the obvious parts of the mystery hit because of their delivery and the way the scenes are cut. Rian Johnson very gently introduces some social commentary without being heavy-handed, he's very good at just asking the question instead of slapping tou with an answer. Benoit Blanc is easily the most iconic original character in the last decade, I'm so happy to watch Daniel Craig display some personality.

Bullet Train 2022
Genuinely funny, and had some really sincere moments between characters. I got more than I came for, I fully expected some really fun action scenes but I didn't expect to tear up the couple of times I did. Not gonna be life-changing but if you're looking to pass the time with a couch and some ice cream, you could do a lot worse.
