Wow. Just wow. This is some other-worldly acting from Casey Affleck. A haunting study of grief, shame, loss, self-hatred. Who knew that a movie could stir something up so deep within everyone's soul, irrespective of whether they've been in the same situation?

A vivid and dead-straight honest portrayal of an epidemic, the human condition. We all see ourselves through this film in some way or the other. Henry epitomizes the very feeling of absurdity that Camus talked about, and oh how fitting it is to be greeted by a Camus quote at the very beginning of this cinematic masterpiece. A documentary, a biopic, an unfathomable insight into the human mind that continues to cripple into a sense of nothingness.
