  It was almost shaping up to be okay until they wrote off Bryan Cranston's character. After that I found myself reaaaaally struggling to care literally at all about any of the other characters. The slow burn of this movie might have worked if wet cardboard didn't have more of a personality than how almost all of the characters were written.

  The effects in this movie are pretty good, the monsters look cool, and the plot is decent but the movie really lacks in well.. everything else.
