Longlegs' biggest triumph was its marketing campaign, tricking me (and, it seems, just about everybody else,) into hyping this up to be one of if not the single most anticipated horror movie this year. The opening sequence totally fed into my expectations, letting me believe that I was about to watch one of my future favorite horror films. The cinematography and sound design held up throughout, providing suspense and a decent sense of eeriness, but most everything else fell short.…
