The Beast 2023
would i watch it again? probably not because in many ways this movie lived out all of my deepest fears. was it brilliant and singular and would i recommend it? definitely. marries past life regression, generational trauma of sorts, horrifying possibilities around AI plus paris in 1910? stunning combination of themes. all topped off with one of the hottest women of all time + a touch of the hand that was sexier than most sex scenes. epic.

nicole kidman can do no wrong for me & she's really good in this role. for me the movie lacked heart and substance of long term love beyond the endless sadness of her late husbands death. i wish i got to know more about her & her relationship beyond that he died and she's sad.

this was so good. i laughed and i cried. i've never felt grateful for my anxiety until this movie. low marks for general plot, that was a lil lackluster, but epic concept & really powerful moments. yay for movies like this for the next generation
