Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings 2021
While Shang-Chi didn’t break any cinematic boundaries, it does advance Chinese and Asian-American images and for that it should be commended.
As a character, Shang-Chi is a bit milquetoast and I certainly wish he had more personality in the film. His younger sister deserved more screen time and Tony Leung, as per usual, is worth the price of entry alone.
I left the film with a renewed desire to practice my Mandarin again. Cool movie. 3/5
