The tinny sound effects, pitched screaming and trippy 70s Japanese funk and jazz music alongside the piano theme is all so dreamy and supersonic.
The dialogue is wholesome and carefree so when it's juxtaposed with really erratic sudden splices of completely surreal horror it's extremely jarring in a really effective way. All this crazy stuff will happen and then they will just say "oh must of just been an illusion" like damn that's some pretty care free attitude to seeing a decapitated head floating towards you.
Really experimental, imaginative, fun and silly, cursed and sweet. What a trip
