  I recently read about Mary Kay’s story and ended up deciding to watch this film. The story sickens me, especially knowing that some people defended her purely because she was a woman and her student was a boy. He was a child. The movie itself was pretty standard for a lifetime true crime movie imo. Definitely can be an upsetting watch but can also really make you think about the way society views abuse, especially when it’s a woman doing it to a man (or in this case a boy.)
