Ever since I saw my first Target, I knew that I needed to be in a city with more Targets.

    I was thrilled to see this movie has more “Hoop Dreams” DNA than “Varsity Blues”.

    When a player asks, “Will the MRI fix my knee?” everything came into focus for me. That is the system failing the players in one sentence.

    * no education
    * who will pay to fix that knee
    * what will the player and their family do now?

    “The coach makes more than the school’s principal,” this movie has the system on trial.

    When I saw "Mad Max: Fury Road" I remember thinking, no movie will be able to hit the gas and take me hostage like this again. Well, "The Northman" just took over the fast lane with a guttural howl. And if there…

    Well, this movie came out of nowhere and kept me very entertained. If you are a Wan fan, it's worth watching just for that, but throw in some John Goodman and get the Bacon sizzling just for fun. It's not fair to compare this movie to Taken, but only because it's so much better.
