Anora 2024
This movie was a little all over the place on plot for me but it kept my attention for most of it with its humor, adrenaline, and Mikey Madison’s top-notch performance. Plus, the raw emotion in the ending scene was FELT so I can forgive the things it didn’t hit for me. I need to watch it again after a couple weeks to really see how I feel about it cause I can’t quite pinpoint what was missing. Maybe it just wasn’t what I expected? We’ll see.

My favorite part of this one was the POV filming style as the ghost/ entity. It almost felt like playing a video game. I can’t think of another movie that sticks with that POV from the beginning to the end and I thought they nailed it. A hidden gem for horror fans who don’t need much from a film. So glad I stumbled into this one. It’s a simple concept of a classic witch story. I loved the pacing of the movie and didn’t need it to build longer than it did. Packed full of creepy music, jump scares, blood & gore, and witchy trickery from start to finish.
