  Bird 2024

  I loved a lot of this - aesthetics, sound, and cinematography were really up there. To me though Bird falls a little in the rankings, as the surrealist elements closer to the end are a bit incongruent to the rest of the film and feel pretty unnecessary. Same goes with some of the messier, unrealised plot lines. Overall, I think it’s gorgeous and a joy to sit and simmer in, but that it doesn’t land how it deserves to.
