  Spartacus 1960

  Honestly it's really not that good. There's only one battle scene and it's too long while simultaneously not giving any real historical information. I appreciated the subversive gender coding stuff. But kind of not really, because it was only used in a derogatory way (Romans are evil and also gay.)

  Gladiator is a better version of this. Watch Gladiator instead.

  Bama Rush 2023

  It was super cringe that Rachel Fleit inserted herself into the Bama Rush doc. Like yeah, we all have experiences that relate to these subjects, but inserting your own as a director is like wearing white to the wedding as a guest. Kind of shocking that HBO let this creative choice go through.

  At one point Chance Boudreaux (JCVD) punches out a rattle snake, bites off its rattle, then uses the now silent snake as a surprise attack trap for his enemies.

  None of the perspectives conflicted in ways that were interesting enough, and the multiple depictions of the rape were unnecessary.
