A Quiet Place 2018
Typically not a fan of horror films, not even sure I would count this as one, more of alien invasion type movie. Lovely that the focus is on the struggles of a family and the context of the invasion is a given. Allegorical and profound.

Do we join in a collective jubilant exaltation for humanity’s capacity to turn a senseless and mind-numbingly addictive video game (that solely consists of using a slingshot to fling expendable birds at randomized structures in an effort to destroy unexplained green pigs) into a morality tale about overcoming localized tribalism under the perilous shadow of a shared global environmental conflict? And all the while, discovering love and deep friendship along the way?
