Rescued by Ruby 2022

So wholesome. I half-expected the film to end once Ruby was settled in and passed the exam. I’m glad it didn’t: that final part with a reunion and paths crossing again. A wonderful recreation of a true story.

Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy 2025
Made me cry. The posters had me confused as to why Bridget’s life included three guys, so this made a lot of sense. Billy and the gynaecologist were my favourite characters. His performance at school had the theatre sobbing. My favourite part was the newsreader cameos: Gamal Farnbulleh is why all Granada viewers should watch this film.

How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days 2003
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
How have I not seen this sooner?! I like that Andie and Ben’s names were alliteration. My favourite part was the journalistic setting and part of me wanted Andie to follow her passion of reporting. And I really didn’t want them to end up together or for Ben to win the deal. Ben’s character slightly ruined it for me.
