  So so fun but oh Greta how you love your lukewarm feminist monologues.

  All in all I was very dissatisfied with what I consider haphazardly assembled feminist commentary. I mean i wasn’t expecting her to turn Barbieland into the paragon of a post-gender society but the fact that Barbieland really wasn’t changed in any meaningful way by the end of the movie upsets me. Also this movie was trying to do too many things and appeal to so many audiences…

  Saw this with my dad who has had a lifelong obsession with WW2, and spent the entire ride home listening to him talk about the historical context of the Manhattan Project

  
  Sound design and score were incredible, some of the best I’ve ever heard. 
  I am glad to see the horrors of the arms race, McCarthyism, the general American political atmosphere of the mid 20th century and the comically unsound nature of anti-communist rhetoric discussed pretty explicitly in media…
